Every now and then we get emails asking, “What is AdQuick?”, so i thought it would be helpful if i wrote this post and aim it at people who aren’t quite sure what AdQuick is and what it does and how it can help your business idea of setting up your own advertising network similar to websites such as adbrite.com and adengage.com
“AdQuick” is a great way of setting up your own ad network quickly and for a low price. Your new ad network will allow publishers to register on your website and then sell ad space on their websites in a number of different ad formats, such a text and image ads plus others. Advertisers will be able to browse your ad marketplace and choose exactly which websites they want to advertise on.
You, as the website owner, will then take a cut from every single ad sold through your ad network. The AdQuick script has several built in admin features which allow you to set the rate you take from every single ad sold, and you can also set different rates for different accounts, so for example, if you set the default rate at 80%, when an advertisers buys an ad for $100 as an example, through your ad network, $80 will go to the publisher and $20 will go to the ad network owners.
AdQuick allows publishers to have total control over the ads and prices that are shown on their website. There are 4 easy steps for a publisher to get up and running,
- Create a Publisher Account
- Add a website to their new account
- Create an Ad Product, such as a “1 Day Text Ad” for $10. (This is an example. The publisher can set any price they want.)
- Copy ad code onto their website.
Thats it. The publisher is then ready to go.
AdQuick has many admin customization features such as the ability to change the default currencies and language of their website, and also a built in templating system so that they can easily change the look and feel of their website without having to edit any PHP code.
AdQuick also comes with several built in payment gateways such as Paypal, so when advertisers buy their ads through your ad network, they can easily complete their purchase using the Paypal checkout system. The script also allows the Publishers to choose which way they would like to be paid by the script owners after they have sold ads on their sites.
We call the AdQuick script an “AdBrite Clone” so that it is easy for potential new users to understand straight away what the script does. Of course their are features found on adbrite.com that aren’t in the AdQuick script, but at the same time their are things found in the AdQuick script which aren’t found on adbrite.com
The best thing about AdQuick is that it can be installed very quickly, and can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for a custom website.
